Four Academic Achievements from Our Research Group

We are delighted to celebrate the successful completion of the graduate studies of three master’s students and one PhD student within the MicroStemTissue Research Group, under ESTEM.

Gasim Rustemli successfully defended his master’s thesis, titled “Seeding and Viability Monitoring of Mesenchymal Stem Cells in a Multichannel Microfluidic Chip System,” on April 27, 2026.

Aytan Hummatova and Narmin Adigozalova successfully completed and defended their master’s theses entitled “Development of Microfiltration for Intracellular Analyses in Organ-on-a-Chip Studies” and “Establishment and Investigation of an In Vitro Hepatocellular Carcinoma Culture Model in Co-culture with Mesenchymal Stem Cells,” respectively.

Our PhD student Roshan Javanifar also successfully defended his doctoral dissertation and completed his PhD. During his doctoral studies, he contributed to 5 scientific publications (3 published in high-impact journals and 2 currently in preparation), participated in 2 research projects, including as a TÜBİTAK-funded project fellow, and delivered 1 conference presentation.

We sincerely congratulate all four researchers on these important achievements and wish them continued success in their academic and professional careers.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to ESTEM, Eskişehir Osmangazi University, and TÜBİTAK for their valuable support throughout these studies.
